Hi Everyone
I’m Fiona G Laycy. I’m originally from Kenilworth in Warwickshire. It’s amazing where our lives take us.
I left school many years ago to take up a vocational career in Nursing. I completed my training as a State Registered Nurse in Coventry at the Walsgrave Hospital. I then married in 1984 at the age of 20.
I spent the next 25 years of my life moving many times with my husband’s career in the UK and abroad. I was on the rollercoaster of life moving at full speed.
I have three children and whilst I was busy with my family I decided to further my education by gaining qualifications as a hypnotherapist, a fully qualified Life Coach, and an Executive and Corporate Coach. I can now add writer to that list.
I started writing while I lived in Moscow, Russia from 1993 to 2002. This was and still is one of the most fascinating countries I have lived in having arrived just after the constitutional crisis in October 1993 between the President Boris Yeltsin and the Russian parliament. This became known as the ‘second October Revolution”. The office my husband worked in was in the Sovin Centre, opposite the White House. On October 4 1993, the Russian army began to shell the White house. I remember going into the office following the aftermath of the attack. The office walls were festooned with holes from the gunfire that had taken place. It was amazing to see that it was business as usual as people carried on around the wreckage of the building. Products were brought using ‘cash only’ and I can only describe the situation to being that of the Wild West as “business men” turned up with their bodyguards carrying sacks of rubles, armed with guns, to pay for their goods, whilst the receptionist sat behind her five foot high wall of protection, again armed by guards, should the customer not wish to pay for his purchases. It was exciting but dangerous times.
Why did I live there, you might ask? Well the only way for my husband to promote himself through the company was to take this opportunity overseas. At the time we were young, innocent and thought the adventure would be a turning point for our future together helping to secure us financially. Little did I know it would lead to our eventual divorce and breakup of our family.
Life moulds us and makes us the people we are today. Our experiences allow us to reflect on the World around us. I have used my knowledge, qualifications and experience to help others improve their lives and that of those around them.
As you read through my book I am sure you will identify with the many different situations, scenarios and solutions and I hope that this will allow you to reflect, revise and rectify any current relationship issues that you have.
We are all responsible for our relationships and your future is clearly in your hands. You can determine the path that you want to take. You may be willing just to survive your divorce or loss of your relationship but surely you owe it to yourself to survive it successfully. As women we make the most sacrifices. Don’t make YOU the biggest sacrifice of all!
Should you need some help with Life Coaching through an important time in your life, or wish to engage my skills as a hypnotherapist, please contact me initially using the contact form provided on this website.
Many Thanks
Fiona G Laycy
